Sea Container HQ was founded by industry veteran Jack Lavery after over 20 years helping large international shippers retire their inventory at ports across the world. As the portable storage industry started to blossom in the 90's Jack saw a need for easier access to these retired steel sea containers that often simply sat in yards near the ports. After a year of research and development and establishing distribution relationships SeaContainerHQ.com was launched in 2002 with a humble one page website. Since then Sea Container HQ has expanded to cover the entire United States and most of Canada. Jack is proud to have a loyal customer base that returns anytime they need to rent or buy a sea container and it is these customers that make the foundation of Sea Container HQ so strong.

Since our founding over 11 years ago we have kept the same goals in mind to keep our customer happy:
